Expect a bright cup with notes of strawberry, mango, maple syrup. It's coffee flavoured strawberry ;)
This coffee release is special, because we roasted this bourbon lot that we get from the Simbi Washing Station from Rwanda twice: You have the unusual opportunity to try the same variety as a filter and espresso roasting!
We at 19grams have known the Simbi Washing Station for many years: The Washing Station Simbi was founded in 2013 by Abdul Rudahunga. It allows farmers around the Huye region to prepare their coffee. Almost 1500 micro farms deliver their coffee to Simbi Station, which employs around 80 people at the main harvest season. There is room for 300t of coffee cherries, which are processed using different methods. From fully-washed beans to sun-dried natural coffee cherries, everything is possible.
Simbi coffees have already been nominated for the Cup of Excellence several times.
