Our producers, Jose Higinio Gómez and his wife Aura Libia de Jesús Gómez Garcia started farming on a small plot of land about 35 years ago near the border with Honduras. They have since then expanded their plot of land and created job opportunities in the community that enables them to build schools in the region.

Upon the arrival of freshly harvested coffee at the station, the cherries are depulped and fermented for 36 hours in temperature controlled tanks and then the coffee is pumped into silos, followed by mechanical dryers (guardiolas) and eventually dried in direct sunlight.
