Expect a juicy cup with medium acidity. Fruity notes of tropical fruits and peaches with brown sugar aftertaste. When we cupped it, we thought it was a Kenyan coffee (in a good way!).
This farm started as an avocado farm and later partially transformed by producer Elias and his brother Shady into growing specialty coffee. Thanks to the perfect climate of the farm and quality processing, they managed to produce amazing coffees from different coffee varieties.
Sustainability is also a focus to these young coffee farmers. 60 hectares of land is dedicated to remain a natural forest to encourage the growth of ecological forests.
This lot was graded and sorted after harvest followed by drying on raised beds for a duration of about two weeks, depending on weather conditions.
