Riakahara factory consists of 566 smallholder farmers in the Kiambu region that is situated on the slopes of Aberdare mountains. Coffee cherries were sorted and pulped followed by overnight fermentation. They were then graded by size, washed and dried on drying tables for a duration between 8 to 14 days.
